My name is Watson Fondren. I grew up in Bibb and graduated from Bibb County High School. I went to Belhaven University and got my degree in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science then attended Life University's College of Chiropractic.
My first introduction to chiropractic was when I was about eleven or twelve years old. My mom was going for an adjustment with Dr. Norris at Spine and Sport Chiropractic and I tagged along. Immediately from the start, I was intrigued. I started to go with my mom and get adjusted when she did. Over time I learned and experienced some of the benefits of chiropractic care. I started to learn as much as I could about the human body: how it's structured, how it works and how it heals.
As a multi-sport athlete in high school, I started to notice how chiropractic care was benefitting me on the field and that's when I began to say I wanted to be a chiropractor. However, it doesn't end there.
Once I got to chiropractic school I became fascinated with how amazing the human body is. The more I studied, researched and learned, I began to realize that the human body is an amazing resilient organism that is self-healing and self-maintaining when given the proper opportunity and treatment coupled with the removal of 'stressors' that interfere with the body's natural healing process. This is not limited to just chiropractic care but can span across all of healthcare.
Since being out of school and in practice, my favorite thing about chiropractic is getting my patients back to doing what they love with non-invasive treatments and lifestyle changes. My goal in chiropractic care is to help the athlete get back on the field and perform their best, help the adult be able to work and play with their kids with no pain or hesitation, and help grandparents be able to go to the zoo or play outside with their grandchildren. My goal in chiropractic care is to provide a service that increases my patient's quality of life and live a life they love.
